Theresa McGarvey

Theresa McGarvey has had the privilege of being a maternity nurse for over thirty years on the labor and delivery unit.  Her passion is to care for new moms during their pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period with kindness and support.

Her interest in becoming a doula began when she and her husband had the amazing experience of having a doula assist them with the birth of their daughter.  Together they have three wonderful daughters and they are blessed to have memories of beautiful births with each of them.  Theresa hopes to empower families to have the most positive experience possible.

Throughout her career she has taught prenatal, infant care, breastfeeding and hypnobirthing classes. She has also been certified in massage therapy and has practiced in prenatal and postpartum massage.

With her calm and supportive nature, Theresa hopes to provide guidance and reassurance to new parents and their families during this precious and unique time in their lives.
